Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as browser local storage and session storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences.

2. Why we use cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Keep you securely signed in across page loads and browser sessions
• Remember your language preference and UI settings
• Understand how users navigate the platform so we can improve it
• Diagnose errors and measure performance

We do not use cookies for advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking.

3. Types of cookies we use

• Strictly necessary — Required for authentication and security. These include session tokens managed by Supabase (our database and auth provider) and functional cookies set by Stripe during the checkout flow. You cannot opt out of these while using the platform.
• Functional — Store non-sensitive preferences such as your selected language and dismissed UI prompts. These persist across visits for convenience.
• Analytics — Help us understand feature usage, navigation patterns, and where users run into friction. See Section 4 for the specific tools we use.

4. Third-party services

We use two analytics services that may set cookies or use similar tracking technologies:

• PostHog — Product analytics. Records which features are used, page views, and conversion events (e.g., completing onboarding or starting a Pro trial). PostHog is configured to create user profiles only for authenticated users, not anonymous visitors. You can opt out via PostHog's opt-out.
• Microsoft Clarity — Session recordings and heatmaps. Helps us see which areas of the interface users interact with. Sensitive areas (AI Coach conversations, credit score inputs, utilization data) are masked and not recorded. You can opt out via Microsoft's privacy settings.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising network trackers.

5. Your choices

• Browser settings — Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in from working.
• Analytics opt-out — See the PostHog and Microsoft Clarity links in Section 4 to opt out of analytics tracking.
• Local storage — You can clear local storage via your browser's developer tools (Application → Local Storage). This will sign you out and reset preferences.

6. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no universal standard for how websites should respond. We rely on the opt-out mechanisms described in Section 5 as the primary control over tracking preferences.

7. Updates

We may update this policy when we add or remove third-party services. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the platform after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
