Our editorial standards
VenturePath teaches people how the US credit system actually works. Because this is money — and getting it wrong is expensive — we hold our content to a clear standard.
We build on primary sources
Every guide, lesson, and tool is grounded in primary, official sources: the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), FICO, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and the three credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion). When we cite a number — like the weight of a FICO factor — it comes from the source that publishes it, not from a guess.
A real person stands behind it
Our content is reviewed by our founder, Andrey Kuzmin, who built his own US credit from scratch and writes from that experience. Guides carry a visible "reviewed" date so you know how current they are.
We update when the rules change
Credit rules, score models, and card terms change. When they do, we update the affected guides and re-date them. If a guide looks out of date, the date will tell you.
What we don't do
VenturePath is education — not a credit-repair company and not a financial advisor. We don't dispute, alter, or remove anything on your credit report on your behalf, we don't sell credit products, and we never promise a specific score increase. We teach you how the system works so you can make your own decisions.
